Welcome Maisie (aka Ella)

Well Maisie as we have renamed her arrived at the Pinfolds 3 weeks ago and what a welcome addition! Maisie is a very affectionate dog and loves to be in company all the time, She particularly loves to sit on you, especially your head if you are lying down on the floor. She has lots of toys to play with but can always find something she shouldn't out in the Garden. Maisie has now had both her injections and has also been chipped (which I have to say did not go down to well with her). She is very lucky and during the weekdays goes to stay with her Aunty during the day until we retuen from School/work. She is settling in very well and has learnt to sit and wait for her food.

ANd then there was one

I was away on saturday when Ruby left. Jo has taken photos and I will endeavour to update the site with them soon. Billie again wasn't speaking to me when I got home and lay in her bed, just about moving her tail; it's a war Jim, but not as we know it!
I think Jack was a little bemused. We had to go out on Sunday and took Bills with us. This meant Jack went to play with Lily, who is one of Sophie's classmates. I think he enjoyed the attention.
Dasha had Bramble round on Saturday, and I understand that, after a short stans off they got on famously. I hope you will all continue to update the blog on how they are all doing.

Update on Josie

Well its been almost 2 weeks since Josie came to live with us. She has settled down into a great routine (apart from waking once or twice in the night!). She enjoys all the attention she gets when we do the school run, although she's getting too heavy to carry now so on Friday she went in the buggy and yes I did get some funny looks! She's got her last set of injections next Monday (10 weeks) the only one more week till she can go out on the lead! We have also discovered that you can take dogs into the pet shops, which Josie loves doing as all the staff give her lots of treats on the way round!

Josie seems to be a sporty girl and loves being pushed around on the skate board or running up the slide as far as she can then sliding back down!

I have come across some of the early first week pictures whilst archieving some stuff so have added these will add some of Jack and Ruby later from this week. Sarah I am going to sort out access for you shortly and hopefully I may be able to insert a link to your blog!!

don't forget to feed the fish!

Whilst trying to sort out the blog admin I discovered the pups could have some pets. If you put your mouse over the tank they will swim towards that point. Double click and you feed them!

Layla leaves home!

Layla left this afternoon with Stuart and Penny. We managed to avoid tears on the promise that she was coming for a sleep over next month! Jack and Ruby celebrated by sleeping in the back garden and Billie did her best hung dog look.

Ella became the forth contestent to be evicted from the big Billie house last night, true to form she din't swear whilst live on air and settled into the car without a whimper. This time Billie was less perturbed but it was Jo's chance to follow Emma, me and Billie into a little wobble! She is off to Leamington so we will have 2 there close to where Billie came from.

As you can see it was all too much for Jack and he left the emotional girlie stuff and like a true bloke fell asleep after a few drinks in his curry!

Brambles bid for freedom

Whilst we were beginning to be more accepting of the puppies departing Billie was the one who didn't cope well today and tried to get into the car with Julia to be with Bramble. Bramble herself was very dignified and went without a wimper, but I am sure will soon find Dasha in Moseley!

Five becomes four and the lawn may now start to recover as the rabbit stops trying to tunnel out!

Josie's big moment

Josie seemed very happy to see Paul and Sarah and set off with her new family. We hear that Dasha had a good night so all going smoothly so far. Emma coped much better today with the loss of another of her broad and Billie refused to join in the farewell preferring to stay in Jo's office! ........ Josie's sisters celebrated by going under the table and leaving a puddle!

Dasha has now left the building! You can see her bonding with Tracey AKA Mum!! and her last cuddle before departing with Billie. The other pups just having an argument about the family jewels and who gets what!

I am sure thta we will see her soon and there was certainly one or two tears in the Hobson household saying goodbye.

Dasha's great escape

This bottom picture is Dasha contemplating life and the other 2 playing with the other puppies. They have certainly grown in size and spirit this week as they approach depature. Dasha is the first to leave today and I will upload some more pictures of her later. I hope that she will learn to blog and send pictures from Moseley and even come round to play occasionally. Today is also momentous as I have dimantled the whelping box!!!

morning patrol

I am sorry there has been such a gap and I know fromwhat Jo has said you would like more shots naming names, however I need Jo for this so I haven't featured a particular puppy here but tried to show you some of the fun and frolics whihc are now a regular occurance. The chorus started at 5.30 this morning! Having been fed they decided to play and what you can see here is the way Billie is playing with them. I have to say she is extremely tolerated of their nipping as their teeth are now quite sharp!

The garden is now fenced in (thanks Jez) and we are now seeing a new phase to their exploring with bushes featuring regularly, I thought I was stuck n an episode of Jurasic park with the amount they can get the foliage to move.

I will try and get Jo to feature one or two puppies later.

Sarah and Paul's puppy Josie

Josie has just been on my lap supervising the upload of pictures. She vitoed the first image and has now gone off to anoy her mother!

The pups are now on 3 meals a day and growing fast. The garden is fast become a minefield despite regular de-mining!!

We did have a lovely wake up call at 6.30 this morning but overall we seem to be holding the helm steady and the good ship Billies pups is sailing a straight course. We are now well into weening and this is going well. In fact the first couple of pups may be ready for collection prior to or during the bank holiday week-end!!

the 2 individual photos here are of Paul and Tracey's pup. She has taken to chasing Sophie around the garden and is certainly a little lady, she will stop at the step and bark if she is fatigued and wait to be lifted into the utility room!!

I have had a request from Tracey for pictures of "her puppy" and I have pictures! Obviously I understand that the kids want to see the pictures and I have them. However given the time of night I won't be able to sort them tonight. They will however go on the blog soon guys!!
